Hytale Servers
FadeHost hosts Hytale Early Access dedicated servers using the official server files. Because Hytale distributes its server through an authenticated API tied to your game account, setup has one extra step compared to other games: linking your Hytale account.
Requirements
- A FadeHost server with 2 GB RAM or more (the free trial works too).
- A Hytale account that owns the game — the server files are downloaded through your account's authorization during Early Access.
1. Create the server
In the panel, click Create Server, choose Hytale, pick your region, and create it. The server is provisioned immediately, but it can't download the game files until your account is linked.
2. Link your Hytale account
- Open Profile → Integrations in the panel.
- Click Link Hytale Account and complete the authorization.
- Approve Authorize Game Downloads — this is what allows FadeHost to fetch the official dedicated server files on your behalf.
This is a one-time step. If the authorization ever expires, the server start screen will tell you to re-link.
3. Start and configure
Start the server — the official Early Access files download automatically on first boot, and the server keeps itself updated as Hytale patches. Server name and settings live in the Settings tab; world files are accessible through the file manager and SFTP like any other FadeHost server.
4. Join your server
- Launch Hytale and log in.
- From the main menu choose Servers.
- Pick Direct Connect and enter your server's address and port — both are shown on your server page in the panel.
Friends join the same way. Hytale's in-game server discovery is expanding through Early Access updates, so finding listed servers keeps getting easier.
Troubleshooting
- "Please link your Hytale account" — the account link (step 2) hasn't been completed on the account that owns this server.
- "Your Hytale authorization has expired" — re-run the link flow in Profile → Integrations; tokens periodically expire during Early Access.
- Long first boot — the initial download of the Early Access server files runs on first start; subsequent restarts are fast.
Mods and custom content
Hytale launched with modding support and a CurseForge partnership. Server-side content is managed through your server's files, and as Hytale's modding tools mature through Early Access, dedicated servers pick the tooling up with it.
